Fast Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Test

Home Diagnostics can supply a lab-based Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea test using PCR technology with a 4 hour turnaround.

The test has been fully validated end to end for postal samples. The sample collection kit is either a vaginal swab or a urine sample. Male patients are required to use the urine collection kit and female patients have the choice of the swab or urine. Both kits are licensed medical devices in the UK and have the CE mark.

When to get Tested

You can get tested at any time if you are sexually active. However, a positive result may not show for 7 days in the case of gonorrhoea and 14 days in the case of chlamydia if you are being tested after a perceived risky event.

How will I get my results back?

Your results will be interpreted by a doctor and made available on your patient dashboard.

How long will my results take?

Your results will be available within 4 hours of the sample being booked in at the laboratory.

Can I get treatment?

We can refer you to The Online Clinic if you test positive for Chlamydia. They provide same day prescriptions or next day delivery on production of a positive test result. Gonorrhoea requires antibiotic therapy administered by an intramuscular injection. You will need to be seen in a clinic convenient for you to attend locally. We provide the PDF of your lab report, which will be accepted by any UK clinic as confirmation of a positive test result.
